another project to do....

hmm...struggling to get brain working today after marathon weekend finishing masterplan drawings. Have moved on to a new project, again through the Bristol office but a very run-down school in Tottenham. Limited budget, so new entrance, improved pitches and tarmaced areas - the requisite habitat area in the most out of the way part of the school....bubble diagram stage, it's about all my brain can take....

....a few more hours in the day...please?

hmm...plan of attack for getting college work done for next Monday not working....doing work work until 7pm last night, trying to print off drawings for Mr Jones to take to Belfast this morning.....urbanism team meeting tonight until 7pm.....far too late for brain to start working now.....had my p.c. upgraded today as the old one was dying a slow and painful death....therefore have lost all my microstation settings and can't seem to draw a bloody thing...will get technowizz to sort out my tool bars tomorrow.....oh, and a painful day tomorrow at work as there are about 3 projects with deadlines for Friday....a bit sad when you look forward to a weekend of college work but hey ho..... :) did manage to get some good analysis diagram examples from Swansea presentation tonight....grey background, white block buildings....red highlighted buildings and some yellow bordering and highlighting - too urban for St Leonards but set me thinking......

who stole my b&*!! cardboard tube!

I hate having to send out all London staff emails but to the person who stole my cardboard tube containing my masterplan ideas ....!arghh! - nevermind they were only sketch ideas but they will be in trouble when I find them. Quiet day without Mr Jones finishing off Pinderfields drawing and getting back to construction details as promised. Not much further....really not my forte. But news just on 5.30, will have a mad rush to get some comparisons done for Milton Keynes by midday tomorrow - so nice of them to say so at this time of the day.....will leave until the morning and get on with college work - hope someone elses masterplan is going better than mine......how do you keep it generalised when all I can see is a multitude of details!!! :(

..a more relaxing day after yesterday

...completely forgot to blog yesterday as I was struggling to get Welsh hospital options completed for sending to client, then was doing college work, then Mr Jones returned about 7pm - found problems with drawings, fixed and resent, back to college work then left at 9pm so blogging not high on priorities. Definitely getting faster on photoshop though and illustrator although can't stand the programme. Was relieved to be asked to do some CAD drawing today on Pinderfields hospital which has a series of vertical courtyards through the building and was glad to see that I could do that fairly quickly as well! yay, getting there. been avoiding the construction details for uni. of reading business school, but think I'll have to deal with those tomorrow.....:(

....and back to another job....ping pong

back on competition hospital which has been going on forever - photoshop work - getting faster!!! and gets noticed yay! Thought I was in dog house (and probably still am) for being far too slow with the Reading job - construction details not great and trying to integrate AutoCAD into microstation not my forte.....thank god tomorrow's friday....Tom Turner's project again tonight after I find some precedent images.....roll on June :)

a slow beginning......

hmm...memory as well as brain had obviously not kicked in yesterday hence late blog. fortunately most people were a little slow yesterday and only half back - did some more construction details but mostly drainage, electrical and gas co-ordination with our site plan. spent most of the day (well AutoCAD expert next me) fixing Faber Manusell drawings which hadn't been set up properly and didn't line up with our site plan. A few clashes but nothing major!
